The Star of this show outside of the beautiful visuals and divine movement/combat is the soundtrack!!! The combination of all three is perfection. Coming in I thought it was going to be all about the combat and movement(which it is), but I didn’t expect a full story, and this game has a good one that I found to be very interesting with some great voice acting. I much preferred the 60fps/RT because it ran extremely smooth and looked super gorgeous most of the time. The game runs beautifully on PS5 at a silky smooth 60fps with Raytracing, or if you would rather have 120fps you can do so, but without Raytracing. Ghostrunner offers beautiful, finely detailed visuals which takes place in a dystopian setting in a Cyberpunk style world. I knew going into Ghostrunner I was going to get a fun but challenging experience, but what I didn’t expect was everything else that came along with it. The game runs I’m giving this game a ‘10’ rating because I think it deserves a higher score than what is shown.

We could end up with a host of PS Plus free games in virtual reality from the PS4 era alongside the launch of PSVR 2, which will be brand new hardware for PS5 gamers with a back catalog of games to play with. At that time, we may also see a PSVR 2 pre-order date, at which time Sony will likely start tapping into its collection of PSVR games that most people didn’t play. That could change later in 2022 when more PS5 Disc and PS5 Digital Edition consoles get into gamers’ hands. Sony is leaning heavily on its archive of PS4 games for the PS Plus free games instead. There are shortages everywhere, as noted in my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra review and the Xbox Series X restock page. There have been very few PS5 restock dates in February and March 2022, and we’re still waiting on a Target PS5 restock, meaning fewer people have access to the console.
That’s why Ghostrunner this month is the only PS5 free game as part of the collection. It makes sense to limit the number of PS5 games as part of the PS Plus free games lineup. It’s usually between three and four games and a mix of PS5 and PS4 games. Sony’s picks for the PS Plus free games for April 2022 remain a mystery as of today, but at times we have seen the list leak out ahead of time.
